Marty Kresac created Alton Bay Blinds of New England because he wanted to offer his community window treatment solutions that go far beyond the offerings of a big-box store. Born in the Czech Republic, he moved to the United States at the age of 14 to finish high school and play hockey. After a career as a professional hockey player, he found his calling in helping his neighbors create indoor spaces they love. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has expanded his offerings to include a wide array of window treatment options, using the highest quality products on the market, to produce unique and flawless results.


The company’s name comes from Marty living in the Lakes region for years before settling on the seacoast with his wife Jayne and their daughter Claire—and maintains this local feel while still being able to serve multiple communities in our area.
